Weather

Relatively warm. Mostly cloudy, although the sun did shine for part of the day.

Conditions

Pretty good. Snow soft (started to cool down and harden in places towards the end of the afternoon). No snow for about a week, so no new powder, but surface conditions were great.

Overall

A full days of skiing with Tom McFarland, Walter Stahlecker, Allen and Ashly Brown and Petr Janecek.

The day started slowly as it took the group some to collect itself together and get going. After the first run down Peruvian Valley, the group split, with Walter and Tom looking for the more difficult areas and the rest of us skiing a little more conservatively. Ashly's day was punctuated with several pretty spectacular falls. One meant that he had to ski a considerable distance down Regulator on one ski.

After lunch we did a number of runs from the Gad 1 chair with Bassackwards in particular providing just the right level with some steeper ungroomed sections.
